Honda Adds New Entry Grade To CR-V Line-Up

Honda Australia has added a new entry grade to its popular CR-V lineup, making Australia’s fastest growing SUV^# even more affordable.

Arriving in Honda Dealers now and priced from just $28,290^{^}, the new Honda CR-V Vi is powered by an efficient 2.0 litre i-VTEC engine and the convenience of a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) as standard.  Inheriting the outstanding space, ride and refinement attributes of the latest generation CR-V, the new addition opens up the CR-V range to new customers.

“CR-V pioneered the SUV segment in Australia, and now with the Vi model it’s even more affordable”, said Honda Australia Director, Stephen Collins. “CR-V’s strength is it just does so many things so very well. Whether it’s carrying kids and their stuff for the school run, a trip to home from Ikea with a boot-load of flat packs, or driving confidently down a winding country road, Honda CR-V does it all”.

The addition of a new Vi grade makes CR-V more attainable for budget-conscious families. “Our customers were telling us they’d like to a see a CR-V for around $30k, so we’ve been able to deliver a great option in the new Vi grade”, said Collins.

“The CR-V Vi grade competes strongly on value and specification against other entry-level Medium SUVs, we’ve priced it under the automatic Mazda CX5 Maxx and Toyota Rav4 GX which is great news for buyers”, said Collins.

Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels and full size spare, reversing camera, LED Daytime Running lights, electric parking brake with auto Brake Hold, Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming on a five-inch Display Audio, six airbags and a five-star ANCAP safety rating.  In addition, the CR-V Vi’s 2.0 litre i-VTEC engine produces a competitive 113kW @ 6500 RPM and 189Nm of torque @4300RPM, with excellent fuel economy of just 7.6 litres/100km^*.

The CR-V Vi is arriving in dealers now, and officially on sale across the country from 1st September.
