Kona Electric – Now More Accessible Than Ever
Hyundai Motor Company Australia has introduced the all-new 2021 Kona Electric “Standard Range”, and coinciding price reduction for the now renamed “Extended Range” powertrain variants.
Sharing all the technology, safety and convenience features, of its Extended Range siblings, the new 100kW / 39.2kWh entry powertrain makes the groundbreaking Kona Electric small SUV even more accessible than ever.
The renamed Kona Electric Extended Range (150kW / 64kWh) Elite and Highlander powertrain variants have received $1,500 and $2,000 MLP reductions respectively.

POWERTRAIN
The new Kona Electric Standard Range powertrain delivers ample performance thanks to the fitment of a 327V, 39.2kWh lithium-ion polymer battery.
The Standard Range 39.2kWh battery versions will continue to deliver Kona Electric’s renowned instant acceleration through a 100kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor, delivering 395Nm of torque.
The Standard Range powertrain offers a real-world all-electric range of up to 305km when tested to WLTP standards.
