Mitsubishi Improves 2020 Eclipse Cross Range

Mitsubishi has released the 2020 model-year updates for its versatile mid-size SUV, Eclipse Cross. The popular mid-sized SUV has been updated to offer drivers a more refined experience – with specification changes that improve control and handling.

Increased capability
The addition of the latest generation of Mitsubishi’s Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) capability to the Eclipse Cross LS, offers even more choices for drivers when planning their drives.

Mitsubishi’s S-AWC technology with Active Yaw Control (AYC) offers drivers predictable handling. AYC controls the brakes and power steering to regulate torque split between the left and right. This improves the car’s accuracy when tracing the chosen line through corners, in straight line driving, and lane change maneuvers.

The LS also gains AWD capabilities, and for convenience, the instrument panel displays an indicator when the vehicle is in AWD mode. This further reinforces the Eclipse Cross as the SUV that delivers for both city driving and beyond.

New styling and convenience
In this update, the Exceed models gain revised front door trims with illumination and a black interior headlining.

The Black Edition – with front skid plate, black front bumper and radiator grille, black interior and black spoiler – now offers even more styling options at mid-range level.  It also offers a number of convenience feature that also assist driver safety, such as variable auto rain-sensing windscreen wipers, dusk sensing headlamps with auto high beam, fog lamps and forward collision mitigation.

”We are listening to our customers, and they wanted a more affordable all-wheel drive which is why we added S-AWC to the LS. This year we’re pleased to be able to deliver this increased capability.” said Derek McIlroy, Mitsubishi Motors Deputy Director for Marketing and Operations.
