New Go & Sport Models In 2019 Elantra Range
The 2019 Elantra brings fresh styling, new model variants topped by Elantra Sport Premium, as well as equipment additions across the range.
A crisp look for 2019 Elantra starts with a new frontal treatment incorporating redesigned headlights and the signature cascading grille. Rear styling is refreshed with redesigned taillights, and a sporty integrated bootlid spoiler and lower diffuser.
A reworked dash headlines an updated interior, with a Supervision cluster, a new steering wheel design, and new trims and finishes.
An upgraded Elantra Active gains features and equipment, including an 8.0-inch touchscreen satellite navigation system paired with an eight-speaker Infinity premium audio system – incorporating DAB+ digital radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
With the repositioned Active taking a step up, the new Elantra Go is introduced as a value-focused model, featuring a 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
A SmartSenseTM safety pack is offered in Elantra for the first time, as an option for 2019 Elantra Go (automatic) and Elantra Active.
Atop the range are turbocharged Sport versions. The two-tier 2019 Elantra Sport and Sport Premium line-up replaces Elantra SR.
A smooth and efficient 2.0-litre petrol engine features in 2019 Elantra Go and Active, paired with either a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual (Go variants).
Elantra Sport and Sport Premium feature a powerful, 150kW 1.6-litre petrol turbo engine teamed with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Every 2019 Elantra benefits from an Australian-specific suspension tune and electric power steering calibration, developed over thousands of kilometres of driving over a variety of uniquely challenging Australian road conditions.
“The attractively restyled 2019 Elantra builds on its all-rounder appeal, with a compelling new Go range-opener, a value-packed Active variant, and performance focused Sport models” Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Executive Officer, JW Lee said.
