Peugeot Australia Announces MY22 Range Including Introduction Of 5008 GT Sport

Peugeot Australia has launched the all-new Peugeot 5008 GT Sport, elevating the offering of the beloved seven-seat SUV. Priced at $61,940(MLP)*, the Peugeot 5008 GT Sport’s 1.6L petrol engine with EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission achieves a power output of 133kW and maximum torque of 250Nm.

The Peugeot 5008 GT Sport now also comes with added style to truly stand out from the crowd courtesy of the ‘Black Pack’. Featured as standard across the GT Sport variants, it includes blacked-out trim features and distinctive black 19-inch ‘Washington’ diamond-cut alloy wheels with a unique ‘Black Mist’ finish.

Peugeot 5008 SUV GT Sport also includes Nappa leather appointed^ upholstery, with heated front seats and 8-way electronic adjustment and massage function for the driver, plus a sleek panoramic opening glass sunroof as standard.

With continuous local market evaluation undertaken to ensure the Australian market is provided a carefully considered vehicle offering, the MY21 5008 GT Petrol will be discontinued for the MY22 production. The MY22 Peugeot 5008 range now is comprised of the stylish GT Sport and powerful GT Diesel offerings.

Peugeot 3008 and 2008 GT Sport variants receive specification upgrade

Since the launch of the 2008 and 3008 SUV range, the GT Sport variant has received high demand, notably seeing the premium features particularly resonate with discerning customers looking for added elegance and style.

MY22 models of the 2008 GT Sport and 3008 GT Sport variants will see a specification upgrade with the addition of the panoramic opening glass sunroof now included as standard.

Specification adjustments to MY22 Peugeot Expert Range

Our global teams are mobilised to drive our manufacturing activity in this unstable context, and we need to adapt accordingly. Despite our continuous effort to deliver our customers the best possible experience, and in order to help minimise the impact on vehicle availability, there has been an adjustment in the specification of the MY22 Peugeot Expert LCV range.

Excluding the Limited Edition Expert Sport, the MY22 Peugeot Expert range will receive a specification adjustment which will see the removal of the side thorax airbags and Active Cruise Control will be replaced by Standard Cruise Control.

Peugeot Plug-In Hybrid 3008 and 508 variants confirmed as March arrival

Peugeot Australia is embarking on its journey towards electrification with the introduction of the 3008 GT Sport Plug-In Hybrid AWD and 508 GT Fastback Plug-In Hybrid in March 2022.

The plug-in hybrid variants of the popular SUV range mark the brand’s first electrified offering in the Australian market and represent the beginning of an evolution for the Peugeot brand.

Exclusive pre-launch access to the Peugeot 3008 GT Sport Plug-in Hybrid AWD and Peugeot 508 GT Fastback Plug-in Hybrid is currently available at select dealerships across Australia. Interested customers are invited to contact their local Peugeot dealership to discuss exclusive access to test drive opportunities prior to the official launch.

MY22 Pricing

We continuously endeavour to provide our customers with the best possible Peugeot offering, which includes carefully considering all options with regards to local market pricing adjustments. There has been an increase in production costs which has resulted in an increase to the MY22 pricing.
There has been a 4 per cent to 5 per cent increase in MLP across the Peugeot passenger, SUV and LCV range from MY21 to MY22 models.

Additional to this, the 2008 GT Sport and 3008 GT Sport will see a higher increase in MY22 pricing due to an upgrade in specification with the previously optional panoramic opening glass sunroof now becoming a standard feature.

During the transition to the MY22 pricing adjustment of the LCV range, all Peugeot Boxer, Partner and Expert vans with a contract of sale date on or before December 31, 2021 are price protected with the previous MLP honoured.
